Woods Survival Courses Offered by Outdoor Escapes NH
Outdoor
enthusiasts will have two opportunities to learn valuable skills in New
Hampshire's Great North Woods Region with guide/outdoor educator Lucie LaPlante Villeneuve Villeneuve of Outdoor ESCAPES New Hampshire, LLC.
One survival
course will be a backpack trip on the Cohos Trail on May 28-30. The other
will be a canoe trip
on the northern Connecticut River on
June 10-12.
Meals and group camping gear is included; canoe rental (if needed) is extra.
Participants will
experience wilderness travel, see wildlife, and improve physical skills. The
focus will be on trip planning, camp cooking, keeping healthy and found,
environment and weather concerns, wilderness ethics and low-impact
practices. Primitive skills such as fire and shelter building will also be
covered.
The price is $235
per person for each 3-day event. Tandem canoe rental is $90. A list of personal
