Experience More in New HampshireHaving grown up in New Hampshire, our lives have been enriched by exploring the many natural and cultural places within its boundaries. We want to help you experience it, too. In addition to joining us for a guided adventure, you will find links below to discover more about New Hampshire's history, cultural heritage, great food, entertainment, and tax-free shopping in New Hampshire... A great resource for residents in the state of New Hampshire is the UNH Cooperative Extension with information on family, nutrition, forestry, gardening, and 4-H programs for youth. The New Hampshire tourism website has a great list of attractions, and you might also be interested in museums, the arts, and entertainment. If you are an architecture or history buff, check out New Hampshire's barns, covered bridges, lighthouses, historic maps and grand hotels. You may want to stay at one of these grand hotels that still exist: The Balsams, Eagle Mountain House, Mount Washington Hotel, Mountain View Grand, or Wentworth by the Sea. Visitors also like to stay at unique bed and breakfasts or campgrounds. Find New Hampshire's lost ski areas, or Ski NH this winter. "Skiing" is term that covers many winter sports including tubing and snowboarding (some call it riding, but so isn't horseback and mountain biking). There's simply a lot about NH Outdoors to experience. Get a taste of what can be found at local farms and maple groves by visiting local growers at New Hampshire farmers' markets. You can visit an old-fashioned country fair from July to October, and pick your own Christmas tree for the holidays. There's much to learn about New Hampshire's logging history. You can visit the Northern Forest Heritage Park, the Society for the Protection of NH's Forests, and the White Mountain National Forest. If you are looking for unique gifts, you'll find plenty made right here in New Hampshire by craftsmen and furniture masters. Remember that we have tax-free shopping at even more gift shops and antique stores. You can ride a scenic train and find out about New Hampshire's railroad history. There are many restaurants to eat out or in all around the state, but some of our favorites are associated with the Valley Originals--locally-owned restaurants in the Mount Washington Valley area.
